Anyone who knows me knows that I’m obsessed with the boy. He is AMAZING. Love the guitar playing. Love the singing. Love the songwriting.

Today I was at Target and saw the new CD and DVD, Where the Light Is, is out. I bought the CD there, then had to make a special trip to Best Buy to pick up the DVD. But MAN was it worth it. Holy moly this is awesome. Go buy it. It will make you happy.

NEW COLDPLAY ALBUM

I bought the new Coldplay CD the other day. I listened to the clips on itunes, and wasn’t too impressed. But I bought it anyways, and am glad I did. It is incredible! It is certainly a divergence from their typical sound. But still good. It has some Radiohead and U2 like influences. Check it out!

About once a month or once every other month (usually coinciding with the arrival of the latest Relevant Magazine), I spend a couple hours browsing myspace, purevolume, and/or virb for new music. Sometimes this works better than others. But for the most part, I find some awesome stuff.

Well today I hit the jackpot. On one of my very first searches, I found The Shanghai Restoration Project. This is pure genius. It is a combination of hip hop, jazz, and traditional Chinese instruments. Its AMAZING! It’s all I have been listening to all night. In fact, I listened to it and put American Idol on mute. That’s how awesome it is.

The musical genius behind the Shanghai Restoration Project is Dave Liang.
